Khmer contemporary classic. Not to be missed. The first eye witness account of the Khmer Krahom revolution behind the front line in the early 70's.

I love this book so much since I saw it first time in 1988 in Kampong Cham town market. It's the first book writing on Khmer Rouge that all people who want to understand about Khmer Rouge must read. I went to the rural areas where Mr Ith Sarin mentioned in order to see the geography. I know very detail about the places from Kantuot of Oral compound district to Trapeang Cho, Amleang, Svay Chouk, Chrork Sdach, Sre Andong, Wat Tang Khmer, Phnom Preah Theat. When reminding about these revolution base in front of ex-Khmer Rouge force leaders, they always asked me where or which office did you work for?
After reading this book, I feel sorry that the author must be killed by Khmer Rouge because he unearthed this cruel and dangerous movement since 1973 but no one at that time believed what the author mentioned and concerned to be true.
Thank to the God, I heard from a friend in San Jose to confirm that Mr Ith Sarin is still alive and lived in USA. Now he decides living in Cambodia again during his retired life. And I heard about his ex-wife and daughters who lived in Siem Reap town by reading the book, Dancing in the Shadow of Benny Widyono.
May the Lord Buddha bless him to be long life. Iwill try to visit him one day in Siem Reap.
